Desde el mes de noviembre, había estado esperando con ansia la noticia de una nueva temporada en Myst Online: URU Live, imaginando los nuevos mundos a los que nos daría acceso Cyan Worlds. Hoy, sin embargo, he leído el anuncio de que MO:UL se cierra de manera definitiva.

Estaba encantada con ese juego. No era solo la posibilidad de explorar mundo distintos, o de estar en un juego donde la economía no era asesina porque no había economía, sino que era un lugar en el que podías sentarte y hablar, un mundo en el que los personajes no jugadores estaban VIVOS y podías hablar con ellos. Era algo distinto. Y lo han borrado. Dentro de un par de meses, MO:UL no será más que un recuerdo.

Vivir dos meses en un mundo que va a morir de manera definitiva es algo triste, y la verdad que no tengo ganas de pasar por un lugar que dentro de poco dejará de existir. Tendré que decir adios a las pequeñas charcas y a la alta hierba de Eder Tsogal, a los brillantes árboles otoñales y a la nieve recién caída de Eder Delin, a pasear por Ae'gura de cabo a rabo... Nunca sabré que será de Yeesha, y nunca veré el lago de D'ni iluminado. Pero, sobre todo, ya nunca más podré sentarme durante horas en K'veer, escuchando la música mientras observo a través del ventanal de cristal emplomado la orgullosa ciudad de D'ni.

Supongo que tendré que dedicarme por entero al Ragnarok Online y a machacar bichos... como siempre -_-

Since last November, I had been waiting anxiously for news about the next season of Myst Online: URU Live, thinking about all the new worlds that the guys at Cyan Worlds would give us. Today I've read that MO:UL is going to be finally closed.

I loved that game so much. It wasn't only the possibility of exploring new worlds, or being in a game that didn't have an insane economy, because there wasn't any economy at all, but it was a place where you could sit and talk, where the non playing characters were ALIVE and you could talk to them. It was something different. And they've deleted it. In about two months, MO:UL will be nothing more than a memory.

To live two months in a world that is going to die completly is something sad, and to be truthfull I don't think I wan't to stay in a place that will disappear soon. I'll have to say goodbye to the pools and the tall grass of Eder Tsogal, the bright autumn trees and the just fallen snow of Eder Delin, to the walks in Ae'gura... I will never know what will happen to Yeesha, and I will never see the lake alight. But, above all, I will never be able again to sit in K'veer for hours on end, listening to the music while watching the proud city of D'ni through the colored glass window.

I suppose I'll have to dedicate myself to Ragnarok Online and killing mobs... as always -_-
